The Art
Drawing History
The project was created for children with learning disabilities who come to “Step Up” to learn the school curriculum. Because they have difficulty absorbing written information, the teacher suggested they draw history of Russia together from the times of ancient Slavic tribes to the present days. Here you can see what came out of it.
Art exhibit of Kesha and Rena
Kesha Ekimov – an alumni of correctional boarding house, and of the center “Step Up” – is now a student of the art institute. This September on the back to school day, together with Rena (a volunteer at “Step Up”, they put together an art exhibit. They were able to sell some of their paintings for the benefit of the educational center and this money paid for tens of class hours.
